Tribal festivals and top destinations on the planet? The popular exotic festival has been a part of the Brazilian electronic since for 20 years, growing with every edition. After initially being held in the region of Chapada dos Veadeiros, the festival faced a ton of bad weather and moved to Praia da Pratigi, a paradise location in Bahia, northeastern Brazil. Universo Paralello boasts six stages with more than 20 000 attendees and 1000 artists during the eight day period. Besides the music, there’s also fire shows, messages, planting workshops, reiki, cinema and a beautiful beach.

Begin at the Parque Municipal, an open space surrounded by colonial architecture. From there walk down Zapita, over Puente de Los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs), and out to the cliff lookout. The private Museo de Arte Colonial Pedro de Osma is housed in the historic mansion Palacio de Osma. The museum’s exceptional collection of colonial art from around Peru includes paintings, sculptures, metalwork, stonework, silver, and furniture.

Jackets at the ready – there’s a chill running through the Catacombes. This 3,000km (1,864-mile) network of tunnels runs under much of the city, containing the bones of six million people, including many who perished during the Revolutionary Terror. In these damp, cramped corridors, you’ll find the bones of Marat, Robespierre and their cronies packed in with wall upon wall of fellow citizens.

Hike near the Hollywood sign: Feeling uninspired? Try changing your perspective on a familiar sight. While the Hollywood sign’s grounds are barred from public access, some great nearby hikes allow for great angles for photos. We’re talking Los Angeles sightseeing from a unique view. From Franklin Avenue in Hollywood, go north on Beachwood Drive; turn left at Ledgewood Drive and twist and wind uphill. Then go right at the three-way intersection onto Deronda Drive. Portugal is a brilliant country to visit for a number of reasons. If you are planning a sailing holiday, then Portugal becomes even more desirable. This country has a stunning coastline and some world-class islands. With a rich history, delicious food, and plenty of historic sites. Portugal is always a good idea. Morocco has plenty of beautiful old town areas but Rabat’s Oudaias Kasbah neighborhood has to be one of the country’s most picturesque. This is a peaceful and perfectly quaint district that feels miles away from the city, despite being right in the city’s core. Inside the walls of this old fortress, the lanes of neat white-and-blue houses rimmed by colorful flowerpots and flapping washing have a lost-in-time atmosphere that’s hard to beat. Even better, unlike the old town areas of Fes and Marrakesh, there are hardly any other tourists here, so exploring this pretty corner of the capital feels as if you’ve been let in on a well-kept secret.
